Winner will play: No. 6 Pender or No. 2 Northside-Pinetown in the Regional Round.

About the Vikings: Tarboro defeated Perquimans, 42-0, last week in Round 3. … The Vikings have won 11 consecutive games and have outscored opponents 90-7 through two postseason games. Tarboro made adjustments against Perquimans in the second meeting between the teams and posted a shutout. Tarboro’s running game has been effective, while the passing game has produced two touchdowns in two postseason games. Three Tarboro players have more than 500 rushing yards, while five players have at least seven touchdowns. As a team, the Vikings have rushed for 3,713 yards and 55 touchdowns.

About the Jaguars: Northampton County defeated Rosewood, 34-16, last week in Round 3. … The Jaguars, winners of the Tar Roanoke Conference, have won six consecutive games. They have won six games via shutout, and have allowed an average of 13 points per game. Like Tarboro, Northampton County relies on a strong running game. Two junior running backs have rushed for more than 1,000 yards. Kwamie Pitt (1,022 yards and 20 touchdowns) and Anthony Harding (1,108 yards and 16 touchdowns) have combined for 36 of the team’s 55 rushing touchdowns. The Jaguars have rushed for 3,329 yards as a team.
