It is absolutely the height of hypocrisy for Biden and his crowd of inveterate leftists to rail about the “gun violence” taking place in this country while being absolutely silent about the greater danger to our citizens, especially the young, from the constant flow of fentanyl and other illegal drugs across the southern border.
It appears that they are much more interested in keeping the border open than protecting your children from dying by ingesting drugs that have been made into lethal overdoses.
More than 100,000 people died from drug overdoses last year, more than from guns, car crashes, flu and pneumonia combined, and I expect we are on the way to breaking that record this year. But Biden and his crowd don’t believe it serves their political agenda to even address this growing national tragedy, especially since they haven’t been able to find any rational way to concoct one of their false narratives about how it is actually Trump’s fault.
So instead of hiring more border patrol agents to assist with this crisis, they are in the process of hiring 87,000 new IRS agents to harass taxpayers and maybe collect more revenue so that they can continue to give illegal aliens plane tickets, train tickets, bus tickets, cellphones, welfare, school access and medical care at a huge cost. That only serves to entice more to do whatever it takes to get here.
The administration’s silly statement to the world that “the border is closed so don’t come” is so patently impotent that no one pays any attention to it, and their claim that they will solve the immigration problem by addressing the “root causes” of poverty, climate change, etc. is laughable beyond measure.
The only thing they have accomplished is giving aid and comfort to the cartels who are smuggling the drugs into our country and also engaging in sex trafficking and other nefarious enterprises while commanding huge sums of money.
They claim to simply be doing what America has always done in welcoming the downtrodden into our country while ignoring the fact that poverty is not a legal basis for asylum under our laws.
This fiasco is just another example of how the left’s compulsion to create “victims” for political purposes does not mix well with their consummate stupidity. In fact, it is a very dangerous combination for us all.
