Mary Frances Fuller Taylor
ROCKY MOUNT - Mary Frances Fuller Taylor, age 92, slipped peacefully from this life to her Heavenly home on Tuesday evening, March 24, 2020, just one month from her 93rd birthday. Born in Rocky Mount, NC on April 27, 1927, she was the daughter of the late William Cecil Fuller and Beulah Joyner Fuller. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Charles Taylor; brothers, Giles and William Fuller, Jr.; sisters, Lanie Weatherly, Nell Dabrowski, Cadie Hamilton, Joyce Phillips, Ruth Albertson, Tillie Fountain; and her son-in-law, Dal Barber.
In 1945, Mary Frances married her sweetheart, Charles Edward Taylor and became a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She worked as a dental assistant in Rocky Mount and Titusville, FL, a secretary at Coastal Plain Insurance and Schotland Mills and as an administrative assistant at Nash Community College until her retirement. She was totally devoted to her family and to her church, Calvary Baptist Church in Rocky Mount, where she embraced her calling of working with children, teaching Sunday School and girls' missions (GAs), and as a leader in Baptist Women.
Mary Frances leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children: Charles Edward Taylor, Jr. and wife, Carol, of Rocky Mount, Ann Taylor Wrenn and husband, Richard, of Roxboro, Janice Taylor Bobbitt and husband, Barry, of Wilmington, Scotty Taylor Barber of Fuquay-Varina. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and sister, Barbara Ann Drake of Rocky Mount.
A Graveside Service to Celebrate Mary Frances' Life will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Rocky Mount Memorial Park with Rev. Brandon Dees, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. The family acknowledges the difficulties of personal contact during these trying times. Appropriate expressions of support are appreciated.
