The intersection of South Wesleyan Boulevard and May Drive and the immediate area were shut off to vehicle traffic on Thursday evening after a wreck that resulted in damage to a Nash County deputy’s vehicle and a car.

Word of the wreck began circulating at approximately 7:20 p.m. and a Telegram reporter went to the scene and photographed the deputy’s vehicle and the car.

The Nash County Sheriff's Office, in a posting on Facebook, said the State Highway Patrol is investigating.

The deputy’s vehicle could be seen in the median south of the intersection and the car could be seen on the pavement on the immediate south side of the intersection.

The first radio transmissions from a Nash County emergency dispatcher alerted that there was a motor vehicle wreck possibly involving a deputy.
