The Walgreens pharmacy at Sunset Avenue and Buck Leonard Boulevard in the northwestern part of the city was the scene of an armed robbery on Saturday night and police are asking for the public’s help solving the case.
Officers at approximately 7:45 p.m. responded to a report of a holdup at the pharmacy and found out an unknown man, who was wearing a black jacket and a blue ski mask, had entered and, while brandishing a firearm, had demanded the clerk empty the cash register of money, police spokesman Cpl. Ricky Jackson told the Telegram via email on Sunday night.
The suspect, after taking an undisclosed amount of money, fled the scene, Jackson said.
Word of the robbery started circulating via the Fighting Crime News and Who’s Wanted Facebook page.
The police MyRMT cell phone app also said a caller to 911 reported a robbery had occurred at the address of the pharmacy.
