Emergency personnel transported the girl and the woman to Nash UNC Health Care with non-life-threatening wounds, Jackson said.

Nash County Emergency 911 Director Brent Fisher told the Telegram via email that emergency personnel received a call from an unknown woman reporting her daughter had been shot.

As for the other shooting with an injury, officers responded at 3:10 p.m. on Tuesday to the area of Airport Road and North Church Street in the northern part of the city, Jackson said previously. That gunfire was reported to have been into an occupied vehicle.

While a probe was being conducted, Nash UNC Health Care personnel told the police dispatcher a person had arrived in the emergency room with a gunshot wound, Jackson said.

Officers who went to Nash UNC spoke to Shawn Hargrove, who said he had driven himself to the hospital after the incident, but there was no information at that time about a suspect, Jackson said.

The Telegram heard police radio reports of that incident.

The dispatcher said shots were fired on Airport Road in the curve before Construction Drive, with a person or persons having continued on Airport in the direction of the Gardner’s Barbecue 301 flagship restaurant.
