Rocky Mount Assistant City Manager Elton Daniels will serve a one-year term as secretary-treasurer of the North Carolina City/County Management Association.
The NCCMA is one of the larger local government associations in the country. It has existed since 1938 and is the professional association for city and county managers and assistant managers who work to improve the quality of local government throughout the state.
Daniels has been a member of the NCCCMA for more than a decade. He joined the city of Rocky Mount as parks and recreation director in February 2019. He has served as assistant city manager since November 2019.
He previously served as town manager of Selma and assistant county manager of Franklin County.
“I am extremely honored to serve in this capacity as it will assist my personal professional growth as well as give the city of Rocky Mount a seat at the table on the state’s largest local government professional organization,” Daniels said. “I am thankful for the support and vote of confidence by my peers, and I look forward to the opportunity to serve our state and city.”
