Report: 2 killed in explosion at Turkish factory
ISTANBUL, Turkey — An explosion Thursday at a factory near the capital, Ankara, killed at least two people and wounded five others, reports said.
The blast occurred in the boiler room of a dairy products factory in Cubuk in Ankara province, NTV television reported, citing government officials. The state-run Anatolia news agency confirmed the explosion and death toll.
The cause of the explosion was unclear, reports said.
In January, an explosion at an unlicensed Istanbul fireworks factory killed 20 people and injured more than 100.
In 2005, a series of explosions at an Istanbul fireworks depot killed six people.
