Students complete Basic Skills Plus at ECC

The Division of College and Career Readiness at Edgecombe Community College recently celebrated the completion of its fourth Basic Skills Plus cohort.

Basic Skills Plus provides accelerated job training for students seeking a high school diploma or its equivalent. This year’s Basic Skills Plus graduates were Ada Thompson, Kuwait Bell, Jacqueline Grant and Claudia Arellano

Students completed the Nurse Assistant I career pathway and ended the semester with a high school credential, continuing education credits and a Career Readiness Certificate.

Three new career pathways will be added to the Basic Skills Plus program this fall.
