The N.C. Symphony is giving a free outdoor concert tonight on the Tarboro Town Common.

The concert, which is scheduled to start at 7 p.m., will feature Music Director Grant Llewellyn and Resident Conductor William Henry Curry in “Beethoven’s Fifth,” according to information from the symphony.

People who attend the concert will have an opportunity to enjoy Beethoven’s work, the “Outdoor Overture” by Aaron Copland and “Sketches from Pinehurst,” which was written by the symphony’s own Terry Mizesko, according to information provided by the symphony.

In case of rain, the concert will take place at Keihin Auditorium on the campus of Edgecombe Community College.
