Game 4 of the Area I West semifinals between Coleman-Pitt Post 58 and Raleigh Post 1 was postponed Thursday because of thunderstorms in the area.

The game has been rescheduled for 7 tonight at Legion Field.

Post 1 leads the best-of-five series, 2-1, though completing the series could prove tricky. Forecasts call for more rain today. If tonight’s game were to be postponed as well, the two sides will play sometime Saturday afternoon, then again that night if Post 58 wins the first game.

Post 1 does not have a home field, and Post 58 cannot use Legion Field this weekend because its junior team will be playing there.

The schedule initially called for Game 5 to be played at Fleming Stadium in Wilson, but Wilson Post 13 also was rained out in its game Thursday, so it will have use of Fleming Stadium tonight.

If the series does go to a Game 5, or if Game 4 cannot be played tonight in Rocky Mount, all of Saturday’s games will be played at North Raleigh Christian Academy.

The two sides must complete the series by the end of Saturday. If weather does not allow the completion of the series, Post 1 would move on to the next round because it won Game 1.
