Two-thirds of North Carolina's star trio will declare for the NBA Draft, but not hire an agent.
UNC announed Friday afternon that Wayne Ellington and Ty Lawson will go through the draft process, but will not hire an agent.
By not doing so, the two can return to the Tar Heels.
Tyler Hansbrough, the consensus national player of the year, will return for his senior season.
Ellington and Lawson were the starting backcourt the past two seasons for the Tar Heels, and were important pieces of a team that set a school record for wins and advanced to the Final Four.
Lawson, known for his blinding speed, is considered a late-first round pick, while Ellington is not a guarantee to be selected in the first round (and earn a guaranteed contract).
