DUKE (5-3, 3-1 ACC) AT NORTH CAROLINA (5-3, 1-3 ACC)
PREGAME CHATTER: Expect both teams to play toward their strengths today. Duke, a surprise team in the ACC, will put its league-leading passing attack against North Carolina’s defense, which is ranked seventh in the nation. Both squads are coming off victories, and with the Blue Devils’ success this season, today’s game might be one of the more anticipated Victory Bell matchups in recent years. North Carolina has won 18 its last 19 meetings against Duke.
WHAT IT MEANS: Duke can remain in the chase for the Atlantic Coast Conference Coastal Division title with a victory today.

WAKE FOREST (4-5, 2-3 ACC) AT No. 10 GEORGIA TECH (8-1, 5-1 ACC)
PREGAME CHATTER: A Wake Forest victory might be a tall order. Demon Deacons’ starting quarterback Riley Skinner suffered a concussion late in last week’s loss to Miami, but he has been cleared to play today. Wake Forest will need Skinner to play well if it is going to overcome the nation’s 10th-ranked squad. Georgia Tech leads the ACC’s Coastal Division behind an offense that averages 304 rushing yards per contest (second in the nation).
WHAT IT MEANS: Wake Forest wants to even its overall and conference record by upsetting the Yellow Jackets.

MARYLAND (2-6, 1-3 ACC) AT N.C. STATE (3-5, 0-4 ACC)
PREGAME CHATTER: N.C. State will try to stop its four-game losing skid when it plays host to Maryland. The Wolfpack has shown that it can put up ample numbers offensively, but the team’s struggles continue when it does not have the football. N.C. State has allowed no fewer than 30 points in its last four contests.
WHAT IT MEANS: N.C. State officially can kiss away its bowl game aspirations if it loses to Maryland.

SHENANDOAH (1-7, 0-5 USA SOUTH) AT N.C. WESLEYAN (6-2, 5-0 USA SOUTH)
PREGAME CHATTER: Shenandoah isn’t as bad as its record shows. The Hornets have lost all of their conference games by a combined score of 17 points. Two of their losses have come in overtime. The Battling Bishops have cruised to victories in each of their conference matchups.
WHAT IT MEANS: N.C. Wesleyan is two wins away from its second outright USA South Conference championship, and more importantly, a trip to the NCAA Division III playoffs.
