ANDREW STOCKS, SR., NASH CENTRAL: Stocks qualified for every event at regionals, and he qualified for every event he could have at states. His 22.72 in the 50 free was eighth in the state, and he’s now the holder of two Nash Central records.

CAMERON ANDERSON, FR., ROCKY MOUNT ACADEMY: In his freshman season, Anderson won the NCISSA 2-A state title in both the 100 and 200 free. He also was part of the 200 and 400 free relay teams that qualified for states.

ZACHARY VESTAL, SR., ROCKY MOUNT HIGH: The 2011 Telegram All-Area Boys’ Swimmer of the Year had a strong finish to his career. Vestal qualified for the state finals of the 100 breast and paced the 200 free relay team that finished sixth in the East Regional.

MATTHEW THOMPSON, SO., TARBORO: Thompson qualified in the state meet for the 50 free, the same event in which he finished 13th at the 2-A East Regional.

GAVIN JOHNSON, SR., NASH CENTRAL: Johnson finished second in the East Region and fourth in the state in the 100 breast, and he was an integral part of two Nash Central relay teams that qualified for the finals of the state meet.

SAMUEL HAYNES, SR., ROCKY MOUNT HIGH: First team for the second year in a row, Haynes finished fifth in the East Regional in 50 free, and 14th in the state. He also took eighth in the East Regional in the 100 free.

RUSH SHERARD, SR., NASH CENTRAL: Sherard qualified for states in the 100 breast, and swam the first leg of the Bulldogs’ 200 free relay team, which finished 11th in the state.

PATRICK BOONE, JR., ROCKY MOUNT HIGH: Boone qualified for states in the 200 IM and was part of the 200 medley relay team that qualified for regionals.
