Rocky Mount police arrested a 46-year-old woman who allegedly robbed her stepmother around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday.

According to police reports, Elaine Fields Finkley displayed a knife and threatened her stepmother on the 900 block of Cox Avenue. Finkley then allegedly stole a purse, money and prescription medications. The victim was not injured in the incident.

Finkley was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon. She was jailed in Edgecombe County under a secured bond.
