Two Rocky Mount men were arrested Thursday in connection with a Sunday nightclub assault.
Twin brothers Ulises Fidel and Raul Benjamin Gallardo, 23, were charged with assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill, inflicting serious injury. Both were jailed in Edgecombe County under $5,000 secured bonds.
Authorities said a 21-year-old man on Sunday was at the El Paraiso Night Club when the suspects assaulted him with a beer bottle and punched him repeatedly. The victim was treated and released at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.
