A Rocky Mount man was charged Saturday night in connection with marijuana found in his car.
According to police reports, Rocky Mount patrol officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation near the intersection of St. Paul and Boone streets. When officers approached the car, they said they smelled marijuana and searched the car and seized 18.08 grams of marijuana along with scales, baggies, a cigar and a cellphone.
Kortae Rashun Wilkins, 32, was charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to sell and deliver, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued a $5,000 unsecured bond.
