Traffic stop leads to pot bust

Three Nashville residents were arrested Tuesday after authorities seized more than two ounces of marijuana during a traffic stop.

Rocky Mount police and Nash County deputies stopped a vehicle at the on-ramp to U.S. 64 near Nashville and searched the car after reportedly smelling marijuana. Officials said they found 3 grams in a purse of one of the passengers and 60.5 grams of marijuana near where the five occupants were standing near the car.

Patrick Logan Roberson, 25, and Amber Rowland, 19, were charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to sell and deliver and felony possession of marijuana. Roberson also was charged with maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance. Roberson was jailed in Nash County under a $15,000 secured bond while Rowland was jailed under a $10,000 secured bond.

Alexis Cole, 16, was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and issued a $1,000 bond.
