Teen wounded in drive-by shooting

A Rocky Mount teen is recovering after allegedly being shot in the foot on Friday night.

Authorities said a 19-year-old man was on the 900 block of Evergreen Road when a gray sedan reportedly drove past and gunshots were fired from the vehicle. The victim reportedly ran toward a house and discovered he’d been shot in the foot. The victim was treated and released from Nash General Hospital. A nearby vehicle also was damaged in the gunfire.
