A Rocky Mount teenager was apprehended Sunday night in connection with a June shooting involving another teen.
Dashad Marquez Williams, 17, was charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill, possession of a firearm by a minor and discharging a firearm within the city limits. He was jailed in Nash County under a $15,000 secured bond.
Officials said a 16-year-old boy was walking on the night of June 11 on Nashville Road near Hammond Street when he reported a vehicle drove by and he was shot at. The victim was not injured, but officers investigating the incident obtained charges against Williams on July 30 and arrested him Sunday.
