A Nashville man’s attempt to evade capture in connection with an October shooting was foiled Friday by Rocky Mount police. Demetrius Montrail Cannady, 21, was served with warrants for attempted first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill, inflicting serious injury, robbery with a dangerous weapon and discharging a firearm in the city limits. Police also charged Cannady with residential breaking and entering and resisting arrest.
