Police said a 22-year-old man is recovering from multiple gunshot wounds.

According to police reports, the victim was sitting on his front porch around 11 p.m. Tuesday when four men approached him. Police said one of the men fired multiple shots at the victim, striking him an undisclosed number of times before the suspects fled the scene.

Someone took the victim to Nash General Hospital before officers arrived. The man was later transferred to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, where he was listed in stable condition.
