Rocky Mount police are asking the public for help identifying an attempted kidnapping suspect from additional surveillance images.
According to police reports, a 48-year-old woman was getting into her car on Sept. 22 at TJ Maxx when she said she saw a man attempting to hide in her backseat. The man reportedly demanded she move to the passenger side, but the woman ran away. Police said a witness chased the suspect who also ran from the car, but eventually lost track of the suspect.
The suspect is described as a 5-foot-8 white man, weighing 180 pounds with blond, grayish hair and light-colored eyes. Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Clay Wilder at 972-1454 or Crime Stoppers at 977-1111 or crimestoppers@rockymountnc.gov.
