Organizers of a charity scavenger hunt hope that the grand prize of a patio furniture set will be more of a draw in the spring.
Kathy Pullins, operations manager for the Edgecombe-Nash Humane Society, said she’d organized a 10-clue scavenger hunt in coordination with area businesses, but a lack of interest has forced her to postpone the hunt. The original plan was to hand out the first clue Saturday at a Family Fun Day organized by a local business then have the hunt commence on Aug. 23, but no one signed up.
“We are not canceling it, we’re just postponing it until next spring when people are looking for patio furniture, since that is what the first to complete the hunt is set to receive,” Pullins said.
Pullins said donations and animal foster help is needed. For more information, go to http://enhs.webs.com/.
