A Rocky Mount man was shot in the leg Saturday night outside a house on Landmark Street near Greenville’s convention district, police reported.

Quantae Lamar Alston, 21, was shot about 11:30 p.m. in a parking lot outside 3262 Landmark St., Greenville Police Department spokeswoman Kristen Hunter said.

Officers found Alston after responding to a report of a shooting. He was uncooperative and provided little information, Hunter said.

Detectives conducted several interviews in the neighborhood and developed several leads, Hunter said.

She said police do not believe the incident was random.

Alston reportedly was treated at Vidant Medical Center and released the same night.

His injuries were not life-threatening.
