Police seek two suspects in cconvenience store robbery

Rocky Mount police are searching for two men suspected of a Thursday night robbery at a convenience store.

Authorities responded shortly before 11 p.m. to a robbery that had just occurred at the Kangaroo Express at 1630 Sunset Ave. According to police reports, two suspects entered the store and one robber threatened the clerk and a customer with a handgun.

The suspects stole the wallet of a 23-year-old Macclesfield man and took an undisclosed amount of money and cigarettes from the store before running from the scene toward Beal Street.

Both suspects are described as 5-foot-10 black men with medium complexions. One suspect reportedly had a light build and wore a black sweatshirt while the second suspect had a medium build and gray hooded sweatshirt.
