Police are investigating two Friday morning store break-ins.

Officers responded to an alarm shortly after 4 a.m. at Wade Designs Jewelry at 2927 Zebulon Road where the door had been broken and suspects stole almost $1,000 in jewelry from the cases. No suspect description was released.

Less than an hour later, officials responded to the L&L Food Store at 2558 Hunter Hill Road where employees reported a break-in. The suspects reportedly broke a window before stealing about $600 in cigarettes and fleeing the scene.
