Police seek suspects in man's robbery

Rocky Mount police are searching for two men suspected of robbing a man at gunpoint and stripping him of his clothes.

The incident reportedly occurred around 4 a.m. Sunday on Hunter Hill Road near Raper Drive. A 21-year-old man reported he was walking on Hunter Hill Road after running out of gas and saw a vehicle with six occupants pass him several times before the car stopped and two gunmen got out. The suspects reportedly threatened him with handguns, made him empty his pockets then forced him to the ground and made him strip. The victim reportedly struggled with the assailants and ran away. The victim told police he was fired at during his escape but not wounded.

One suspect is described as a 6-foot tall black man with medium build, between 18 and 20 years old, wearing a hooded sweatshirt.
