A 20-year-old man was injured Tuesday night in an assault near the Opportunities Industrialization Center and the Booker T. Washington Community Center.
Police said the victim was walking behind OIC when he was approached by two suspects around 7 p.m. The suspects reportedly physically assaulted the victim and fled the scene. The victim was treated and released from Nash General Hospital.
One suspect is described as a 6-foot-2 black man with a slender build, weighing about 145 pounds and wearing a white T-shirt. The second suspect was a juvenile boy. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 977-1111 or email@example.com.
