Police seek suspect who stabbed, robbed woman

Rocky Mount police are searching for a man suspected of stabbing and robbing a woman Saturday night.

Authorities said a 30-year-old woman reported that she was walking on the 200 block of Southwest Main Street when she was approached from behind by an assailant. The suspect reportedly stabbed her in the abdomen and ran off with an undisclosed amount of her money. The victim was taken to Nash General Hospital but was transferred to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, where her condition is unknown.

The suspect is described as a 6-foot tall black man with dreadlocks, between 180 and 210 pounds, wearing a blue shirt and a toboggan hat. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 977-1111 or crimestoppers@rockymountnc.gov. Text a tip to police at 274637 by beginning messages with RMPOL to direct the tip to the Rocky Mount Police Department and type up to 155 characters about the information.

See, that sounds just as idiotic as what you claim someone pointing out black men with dredlocks in the police section of the paper sounds. By the way, what was the description of the assailant? I supposed you'd be happier if all of the funds to revitalize anything were poured into Nash County, huh?
