Police seek suspect who robbed convenience store

A man in hunting gear is wanted in connection with a Sunday night convenience store robbery.

Officials said two employees were working around 11 p.m. at the Wilco Hess at 1212 Bethlehem Road when a suspect entered the store and threatened them with a long gun. The employees complied with the suspect’s demands, and he ran out of the store with an undisclosed amount of money.

The gunman is described as a 5-foot-7 white man, weighing 150 pounds and wearing a camouflage jacket and hat. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 977-1111 or crimestoppers@rockymountnc.gov.
