Police seek suspect in theft from cellphone store

Authorities are hoping surveillance images will help capture a man suspected of stealing money from U.S. Cellular in Pinetops.

Pinetops police Capt. S. Harrell said shortly before 9 p.m. on Jan. 1 the suspect entered the store at 206 W Hamlet St. The suspect reportedly used a key and entered the code to deactivate the alarm prior to stealing an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as a 6-foot tall white man with a medium build, dark-colored hair, a goatee and mustache. Anyone with information on the suspect’s identity is asked to call 252-813-9680.
