Authorities are searching for a suspect in Tuesday night robbery.

Rocky Mount police said a 44-year-old man was sitting in his car in his driveway on the 800 block of Russell Street when a suspect approached him, threatened him with a gun and ran away with an undisclosed amount of money from the victim. Officers attempted to find the suspect who reportedly ran toward Cedarbrook Drive but were unsuccessful.

The suspect is described as a 5-foot-6 black man, between 25 and 30 years old, weighing 200 pounds and wearing a black hooded jacket. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 977-1111 or crimestoppers@rockymountnc.gov.
