No one was injured Tuesday night when a gunman robbed a downtown tire store.

Authorities said the suspect entered Mr. Tire just before 6 p.m. at 232 W. Thomas St. where a clerk was giving change to a customer. According to police reports, the suspect threatened the clerk with a gun and demanded money before running away with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect was described as a 21 to 25 year old black man with a slim build and short black dreadlocks. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 977-1111 or crimestoppers@rockymountnc.gov.
