Police seek break-in suspect who left vehicle at crime scene

Rocky Mount police are investigating a commercial break-in where the suspect reportedly fled but left his vehicle at the scene.

According to police reports, officers responded around 2 a.m. Friday to a burglar alarm at Trinity Industries at 1549 Vance St. Police said someone had cut a hole in the fence and the suspect’s vehicle was found in the area. Officers reportedly found pilfered building materials from the company inside the vehicle.

Officers searched for the suspect, but were unable to find him. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 977-1111 or crimestoppers@rockymountnc.gov.
