Police are searching for a 31-year-old man and another suspect in connection with a Sunday morning robbery.

Authorities said Monte Terrell Mercer and another man threatened a 21-year-old woman with guns as the woman was getting out of her vehicle on the 100 block of Wintergreen Court. The suspects demanded her wallet and she complied before the men fled the scene, police said.

Investigators obtained warrants for robbery with a dangerous weapon against Mercer. The other suspect is described as a 5-foot-8 black man, weighing about 150 pounds and wearing all black clothing. Anyone with information on Mercer’s whereabouts or the identity of the other suspect is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 977-1111 or crimestoppers@rockymountnc.gov.
