Police probe store break-in

Rocky Mount police are investigating an overnight break-in at a local convenience store.

According to police reports, officers responded around 3:30 a.m. to find that the glass door of Cokey’s Supermarket on the 1400 block of Cokey Road had been smashed. The suspected thieves stole thousands of dollars worth of tobacco products, candy and money from the closed store before fleeing the scene. No suspect description was released.
