Police probe produce stand break-ins

A local produce stand was broken into two nights in a row and police are asking the public for information about the crimesp.

The first break-in reportedly happened between Saturday night and Sunday morning when someone entered the Farmers Produce in the Kmart parking lot but did not taking anything from the business. Rocky Mount police were called to the business again Monday morning after employees discovered a second break-in had occurred overnight. Eleven watermelons reportedly were stolen in the second break-in.
