Rocky Mount police are investigating whether three weekend shootings are related.

The first incident happened around 3 a.m. Saturday on the 1000 block of Brandywine Lane. Police said a gunman fired at least seven rifle rounds, damaging one house and two vehicles. No one was injured.

Nearly three hours later, police responded to a shooting on the 600 block of Pineknoll Drive where a suspect had fired at least five shots at a house while the residents were asleep, police said. There was minor damage to the house, but no one was injured.

Just before 9 p.m. Sunday, police responded to a shooting one block away from a house that was struck on Friday morning. According to police reports, the residents were at the house when a gunman fired several rounds from a dark-colored Chevrolet Impala. No one was injured.

“These cases are under investigation,” Rocky Mount police Cpl. Mike Lewis said. “Detectives are investigating whether there is a link between the incidents.”

Anyone with information on the incidents is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 977-1111 or crimestoppers@rockymountnc.gov.
