One man was arrested Thursday night and police are searching for his brother, both of whom are suspected in an armed robbery.

Authorities said a 42-year-old man was in the parking lot of Family Food Mart on the 1100 block of Long Avenue when he was approached by two men. One of the suspects threatened him with a gun, taking the victim’s wallet and money before both suspects fled the scene in a green Ford Taurus, police said.

A detective responding to the robbery reportedly saw a car matching the getaway car’s description and stopped the car with Jerry Leon Greene inside. Greene, 19, was charged with felony robbery with a dangerous weapon and jailed in Edgecombe County under a $20,000 secured bond. Police obtained a robbery warrant against Greene’s brother, Terry, but he has not been apprehended.
