Police nab one robbery suspect, seek two others

Rocky Mount police have apprehended one suspected robber and are searching for two others in connection with a Saturday morning incident.

Markeith Haskins, 20, was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon. He was jailed in Nash County under a $20,000 secured bond.

Authorities said Haskins and two unidentified suspects came up from behind a 26-year-old man shortly before 1 a.m. while the victim was walking on the 800 block of Greyson Road. According to police reports, the suspects robbed him at gunpoint of a cellphone and small amount of cash then ran away.

The suspects were described as young black men wearing black T-shirts and wearing ski masks. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 977-1111 or crimestoppers@rockymountnc.gov.
