Rocky Mount police apprehended one burglary suspect Tuesday morning and are searching for two others.

Brian Antonio Lynch, 25, was charged with felony conspiracy to commit burglary, resisting a public officer and false information to an officer. The Whitakers man also was served with a felony probation violation and jailed in Nash County under a $66,000 secured bond.

A 44-year-old man reportedly called police shortly before 11 a.m. Tuesday when three suspects reportedly tried to break into his home. Police said officers responded to the 2000 block of Hunter Hill Road and allegedly saw three suspects running from the scene.

Officers set up a perimeter and found Lynch a short distance away. The identity and location of the two other burglars is under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 977-1111 or crimestoppers@rockymountnc.gov.
