Police on lookout for ATM bandit

Rocky Mount police released several images pulled from surveillance video of a man suspected of burglarizing an ATM.

Officers responded to an alarm activation around 2 a.m. on Nov. 3 at the ATM at Wells Fargo at 2910 Sunset Ave. Police said approximately $17,000 worth of damage was done to the ATM’s screen, keys and computer, but the suspect was unable to get inside the machine.

The suspect is described as a white man with medium build in his 20s, without a shirt and wearing a coat. Images show the suspect fleeing the scene in an older model Chevrolet Blazer.
