Rocky Mount police are investigating three break-ins reported Friday.
Police said employees at Bargains Store at 481 W. Raleigh Blvd. called 911 after finding a front window broken out. According to police reports, the suspects stole $625 worth of tools and electronics between 2 a.m. and 10 a.m. Friday. No description of the suspects was released.
Just before 11 a.m., staff at the Wright’s Center at 513 E. Raleigh Blvd. called police about someone attempting to break into the food storage shed near the center. The door frame was damaged, but no food was missing. According to police reports, the break-in was suspected to have happened between 2:30 a.m. and 8 a.m.
Officers also responded across town around 3 p.m. Friday to a break-in in progress at CBN Digital Cable at 4481 Sunset Ave. Police said a suspect had broken into the warehouse and attempted to steal a floor jack, but the item was recovered. According to police reports, the suspect is described as a 6-foot tall black man, weighing about 200 pounds and wearing a green and white checkered coat. The suspect reportedly ran south from the warehouse before police arrived.
