Rocky Mount police are investigating two commercial break-ins that happened during the early morning hours this weekend.

Shortly after 5 a.m. Saturday, a burglary alarm reported a break-in at Food Lion on Fairview Road and responding officers said they saw a large front glass window broke out upon arrival. A search of the business indicated two suspects broke into the store and fled with nearly $2,000 worth of Marlboro cigarettes. The only description of the suspects are medium-build black men wearing dark clothing.

Officers responded to another break-in around 4:30 a.m. Sunday at the Trade It store on North Wesleyan Boulevard. A suspect reportedly smashed a window, broke a glass door on a display and stole two iPhones before fleeing the scene.
