Rocky Mount police apprehended a suspect Tuesday in connection with a 2012 motor vehicle theft.
Marcus Ray Johnson, 27, was charged with felony larceny of a motor vehicle. He was jailed in Nash County under a $5,000 secured bond.
Authorities said a 46-year-old Sharpsburg man called police in June about the theft of a Oldsmobile Cutlass he was working on. The victim reportedly told police he’d found the pilfered vehicle at Cox Auto Recyclers.
Investigators said they traced who sold the car to the recycler and obtained the larceny charge against Johnson.
