One suspected shooter has bene apprehended and authorities are searching for the second suspect.
Warrants have been obtained for Rarshed Asdrian Cooper, 20, of Princeville. Police charged him and Jereyleus Thigpen, also 20 of Princeville, was two counts of attempted first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill and one count each of discharging a firearm in the city limits and discharging a weapon into occupied property. Thigpen was jailed in Edgecombe County under a $200,000 secured bond while Cooper evades police.
According to a press release, Edgecombe County deputies responded Wednesday to a report of shots fired into a Princeville residence on Mullins Street. While no one was wounded in the incident, shell casings were collected and deputies developed Thigpen and Cooper as the alleged shooters.
