Two Nashville men were arrested Tuesday after police seized drugs and weapons from the men’s home.
Roger Avent, 45, was charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to sell and deliver, maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance. Avent and James Otis Leonard, 73, were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Avent was jailed in Nash County under a $10,000 secured bond and Leonard was issued a $500 secured bond.
Authorities said Nash County deputies and Nashville police searched a house on the 100 block of Sixth Street with a K-9 Tuesday. Police said 15 baggies of marijuana, a 12-gauge shotgun, digital scales and other drug paraphernalia were seized from the home.
