Man wounded in shooting

A Rocky Mount man was discharged from the hospital Friday after being treated for a gunshot wound.

The 35-year-old man said he was walking in Little Easonburg around 12:30 a.m. when he was shot by an unknown gunman armed with a shotgun. The victim was taken to Nash General Hospital and transferred to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, where he was treated and released. A description of the suspect was not released.
