A 20-year-old man and a female juvenile were arrested this weekend in connection with stealing clothing from Belk.

According to police reports, loss prevention employees for Belk called police shortly after 6 p.m. Friday to report two suspected thieves. Police said the employees had detained the suspects and recovered nearly $250 in stolen clothing. The teen resisted arrest, but neither the suspect nor the officer were injured.

Christopher Lashon Wiggins, 20, was charged with misdemeanor shoplifting by concealment and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. The Nashville resident was issued a $1,000 secured bond. The unidentified teenager was charged on juvenile petition with shoplifting by concealment, assault on a police officer and resist, obstruct or delay.
